Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer Reminds City Residents of Road Closures for This Friday’s Car Cruise

Share

This Friday, August 4th, the Maple City Street Machines Car Cruise will take over the city streets of Monmouth. Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer reminds local residents of road closures that will begin early that morning:

“First thing in the morning we get these areas shut down in the downtown area. If you are coming into the downtown area early in the morning or you have to get somewhere here early in the morning, plan accordingly please. We will have people out blocking the streets off, getting the area ready. You may have to park a block away. Elderly and disabled people, obviously, we will accommodate them and try to get them in to wherever they have to go. For the most part, the downtown area is going to be shut down and cars will start coming in at 6:30 in the morning, so we will be out there early.”

Chief Switzer also reminds dogs, bikes, golf carts, or other non-highway vehicles will not be allowed at the Car Cruise.
