Monmouth’s Addie Smith Swims, Bikes and Runs at National Sprint Triathlon in Milwaukee

2023 Monmouth-Roseville High School graduate Addie Smith took part in the National Sprint Triathlon race in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Sunday. Addie swam a half mile in open water in Lake Michigan, biked 12 miles and then ran a 5K. She finished all three disciplines in 1:27:15, placing 68th out of 101 competitors in her national age group. She swam her half-mile in 12:36, biked her 12 miles in 42:09 and ran her 5k 28:16. An accommplished swimmer, her swim time was 51st in her age group.

Addie will continue to do spring triathlons at the collegiate level as she will attend Division III Central College in Pella, Iowa this upcoming school year. She will be a part of the women’s triathlon team and will hope to make the collegiate national meet, as well.
