Mrs. Sharon Kay Boyer, of London Mills, IL, age 74, passed away at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center on Sunday August 6, 2023, with her family by her side.

Sharon was born on January 21, 1949 in London Mills, the daughter of Lyle and Roberta (Cook) Allen. She married Daniel D. Boyer on February 28, 1969, he survives.

Sharon resided in the London Mills area her entire life, and pursued a 50 year career as a hairdresser. In her free time she enjoyed working on flower beds, hosting family dinners every Sunday, baking, supporting her grandchildren with their extracurricular activities, and gifting the best, most unforgettable Christmas stockings. Sharon was strong, hardworking, and had the biggest heart for her family. She will be missed dearly.

Sharon is survived by her two sons: David (Dee Dee) Boyer of Maquon, and Daniel L. (Corrie) Boyer of London Mills; her daughter Dena (Kevin) Anderson of London Mills; six grandchildren: Ethan Boyer, Bella (Carl) Jacobson, Dakota Hook, Shelbie Hook, Cayden Boyer, and Josie Boyer; one great grandchild: Cade Jacobson; her brothers Bob (Kathy) Allen, Oscar Lee (Mary Lou) Riley, Terry (Virginia) Allen, Chris (Jennifer) Allen; and her sisters: Joy (Bruce) Hillery, and Julie (Bill) Klapp. Sharon is preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and her parents.

Visitation hours will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday August 9, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West, Abingdon Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM on Thursday August 10, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West, Abingdon Chapel. A burial will  follow immediately after the service in Abingdon Cemetery. Pastor David Swain will officiate the service. Memorials may be made to the London Mills Christmas Fund. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, Abingdon Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.h-p-w.com.
