The West Central 8-Man Football squad will begin their title defense this Friday with a match on the road against the Falcons of CO-OP team Flanagan/Cornell/Woodland. The Heat met with the Falcons last year in Biggsville, a game West Central would win handedly by a score of 50-8. Speaking on the WRAM morning show on Wednesday, Heat Head Coach Jason Kirby says he expects a much more challenging game from Flanagan this season, as the Falcons return several starters from last season’s squad.
Friday night’s Heat vs Falcons game will kick-off at 7 PM from Flanagan, Illinois. West Central will try to see a repeat of the success they saw during their 2022 campaign, a campaign that saw them finish as undefeated champions in I8FA play.
