GAVC’s Manufacturing and Trades Showcase Creates Networking Event for Area Students and Community Members

Share

The Galesburg Area Vocational Center will hold their Manufacturing and Trades Showcase on October 26th for area high school students and community members, shares Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer:

“A lot of different employers, either manufacturing companies or skilled trades organizations will come and set up at the Galesburg Area Vocational Center and then students from all around the region will either be bussed in or will walk over from Galesburg High School. It is a chance for students to meet with employers and learn a little bit about careers and get some encouragement and do a little bit of networking. Last year’s event was a smashing success, over 1,000 students from regional high schools attended.”

The showcase will take place from 8:30 am to 2 pm at the Vocational Center, 940 West Fremont Street in Galesburg.
