The “We are the 96%” campaign features family farmers across the state of Illinois to raise awareness of those farmers. The campaign was launched by the Illinois Farm Families coalition which is comprised of the Illinois Beef Association, IL Corn Marketing Board, Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Pork Producers Association, Illinois Soybean Association, and Midwest Dairy. Illinois Corn Board member Chris Gould shares more about the goals of the “We are the 96%” campaign.
The name of the campaign “We are the 96%” represents the family farmers in Illinois.
The campaign has been launched in a variety of different mediums, with one of the biggest being an ad in the 2023 Superbowl.
Gould adds that the public education aspect of this campaign and others like it need to be an ongoing process for years to come.
