Macomb Student Receives FOP Scholarship

Lindsey May, left, the son of Lindsey and Karen May of Macomb, accepts a $500 Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) scholarship from Spoon River Valley FOP Lodge 427 President Donald “Ike” Hackett in Macomb. Lindsey’s father is a Lodge 427 member and is employed by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. Lindsey is a freshman at Western Illinois University majoring in criminal justice, and has also enlisted in the Illinois Air National Guard 182nd Air Lift Wing based in Peoria as a Loadmaster for C-130 cargo planes. He will enter basic training at a later date.


Each FOP district has a $500 scholarship to award annually to a selected FOP member’s family. Each district selects its own award recipients.
