Operation Christmas Child Celebrating 30th Year of Sharing Jesus’ Love with Children Nationwide

Share

Operation Christmas Child serves children around the world by supplying school supplies, hygiene products, toys, and sharing the love of Jesus. Local Project Leader Kay Stropes shares Operation Christmas Child is celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year:

“Operation Christmas Child is an organization that started with Samaritan’s Purse. It started back in 1993, so we are celebrating our 30th year this year and we have given over 200 million boxes out to children around the world. It is a way to touch children who might not know about Jesus and God and just let them know their love and bless them with toys and things that they need and just get the word out about Jesus.”

Locally, shoeboxes will be collected at Immanuel Baptist Church, 206 North Sunny Lane in Monmouth November 13th through 20th before beginning their journey to children across the world.
