Stephen Paul Robison, 70, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Sunday, September 17, 2023 at 12:05 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

Stephen was born June 26, 1953 in Galesburg, the son of Richard Dean and Jessie Alice (Sellers) Robison. Stephen married Ruth Reed. They later divorced. He later married Laurie Ann Sperlin on July 24, 2000 in Galesburg.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 23 years, Laurie of Galesburg; a stepson, Kevin Sperlin of Galesburg; a granddaughter, Lyra Sperlin; one brother, Phil (Carley) Robison of Galesburg; one nephew, Lucas Robison of Galesburg; one niece, Brena (Lee) McCone of Galesburg; an aunt, Lovilla Linn of Emporia, Kansas; two brothers-in-law, John (Kelly) Sperlin and Dewayne (Peg) Sperlin both of Galesburg; one sister-in-law, Debbie (Jim) Sparks of Galesburg; and numerous cousins. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and one stepdaughter, Heather Johnson.

Stephen worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service in Knoxville, Illinois for 20 years, retiring in 2018. He enjoyed all sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Stephens favorite pastime was traveling. He visited numerous national parks throughout the United States and especially loved the mountains in Colorado and the lakes in Kentucky.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Galesburg Public Library Foundation. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.watsonthomas.com.
