Warren County State’s Attorney Tom Siegel Comments on SAFE-T Act’s Effect Locally

Since the Pretrial Fairness Act, or SAFE-T Act, went into effect on September 18th in Illinois, Warren County State’s Attorney Tom Siegel informs there have not been many detention hearings thus far. Only being one week instituted in Illinois, Siegel says it is still tough to say what consequences will arise, however one immediate concern is the shorter timelines:

Siegel reports that felonies in Warren County present on the trend of being less than in 2022.
