The West Central Heat 8-man football squad will officially hold their season home opener tonight, when they host the Patriots of Peoria Heights. West Central has been on the road for the past two weeks, dropping their week 1 contest in Flanagan 35-20, before falling to the Ridgewood Spartans in Woodhull in week 2. The Heat will now have to turn around and play Peoria Heights on a shortened week of preparation. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Wednesday, West Central Head Coach Jason Kirby says the main goal for this week is getting his team the confidence they need in their shortened preparation period.
West Central’s Thursday night contest against Peoria Heights will kick-off tonight from West Central High School in Biggsville.
