October 1-7 is National 4H week, a week where clubs highlight the hard work of their members and the experiences that come from the organization. Henderson, Knox, McDonough, and Warren County’s 4-H Youth Development Educator Shelby Carlson gives a look into what 4-H week will look like.
“All week we will be celebrating with with different things. We highly encourage you to follow along with us on our social media as we are celebrating that. We have different opportunities- kind of that spirit week in that school homecoming tradition that some of us might be familiar with. We are getting a chance to highlight our members, and our volunteers, and show our spirit. You are probably going to get the opportunity to realize there are people that maybe you work with that you had no idea were a 4-H member. During National 4-H Week, that’s a time when those conversations come up.”
The spirit days celebrated this year for 4-H week include; Service Project Sunday, Member Monday, Time Machine Tuesday, Why 4-H Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, Favorite Project Friday, and Spirit Saturday.
