The Abingdon-Avon High School football team will play their last game of the season on Friday night at home against the Cougars of ROWVA/Williamsfield. It is senior night for the Tornadoes. After an 0-5 start for A-Town’s football squad they were eliminated from IHSA postseason play, however since their 0-5 start to the season the Tornadoes have rattled off two Lincolnland-Small school division victories, one against the United Red Storm on their homecoming night and the other coming on October 6th with a 14-12 win over the Havana Ducks on A-Town’s homecoming game. Now sitting at 2-6 overall, Tornadoes Head Coach Rick Quinn applauded all of his players especially his senior athletes, for continuing to play hard even without the possibility of the IHSA playoffs.

The Tornadoes senior night contest vs ROWVA/Williamsfield will kickoff from Abindon-Avon High School in Abingdon at 7:00. For the full interview with Coach Quinn, visit the Sports Podcast section.
