Charles L. “Chuck” Dixon, 84, of Little York, IL, passed away at 11:03 pm on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, IL.

He was born November 9, 1938 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Charles E and Hazel (Anderson) Dixon. He was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School and attended Monmouth College.

Chuck married Lois A. St. Ledger in Monmouth at Immaculate Conception Church on August 29, 1959. She passed away on April 12, 2015.

He worked at Foremost Dairies as a Foreman before retiring in 1994.

Chuck was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Monmouth Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree, Assembly #230.  He enjoyed hunting, camping and anything outdoors.

Chuck is survived by his children, Julie (Phil) Bowlin of Seattle, WA, Kathi Conlin of Los Angeles, CA, and Joline Dixon of Seattle, WA, and Matt (Sharon) Dixon of Bloomington, IL; 4 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter on the way, along several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Immaculate Conception catholic church, Monmouth, IL. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Raritan, IL. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home, with a Rosary Service beginning at 4:30 pm. Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Western Illinois Animal Rescue (WIAR) and set to the Funeral Home.
