The Western Illinois University School of Agriculture (Ag) will host prospective students and their parents at the annual Fall Open House at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13 in the WIU Livestock Center.
The event will include tours of the campus, University Farm and other agriculture-related facilities. Ag faculty and students will be available to answer any questions.
A complimentary lunch will be served for those who register and attendees will have a chance to win a scholarship. To register online or view a map of the WIU campus and directions to the WIU Livestock Center, where all participants should park, visit wiu.edu/cbt/agriculture/openhouse.php.
The schedule of events include:
9:00-9:45 a.m. – Registration & Activities Fair
9:45 a.m.- Welcome by WIU Ag Vocators
9:50-10 a.m. – Welcome by School of Agriculture Director, Andrew Baker
10-10:10 a.m. – WIU Undergraduate Admissions
10:10-10:20 a.m. – Alumni guest speaker: Jeremy Kane
10:20-11:20 a.m. – Farm tour
11:30-noon. – Student panel
Noon-1 p.m. – Lunch with WIU students, faculty, staff and alumni.
1- 2:30 pm – Optional campus tour
