The 6th Annual Christmas on the Square in Downtown Monmouth is set for Friday, December 1st. Member of the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Leadership Team Casey Grant highlights the activities taking place for this year’s theme A StoryBook Christmas:

“Of course Santa will be here, Santa is here every year and he will be at Meks on Main again. Down in front of Midwest Bank we are going to have the iceless skating rink, it is coming back. On South Main Street, we are going to have a petting zoo and a new kids train. Then on West Broadway we will have a giant gingerbread inflatable slide for the kids. All kinds of businesses are going to be giving out stuff and doing fun things. We are also going to have our Merry Market, our vendor market, at the Clear Profits building on South Main and there will be food trucks in each of the four quadrants of the parking on the square.”

The StoryBook Christmas on the Square will take place from 5 to 8 pm in Downtown Monmouth on December 1st with the tree lighting ceremony being held at 6 pm.
