Cold and Flu Season is Here

Share

As the seasons change and the temperatures drop, the illnesses start to set in. With cold, flu, and even COVID symptoms being very similar, Warren County Health Department Administrator Jenna Link says getting tested will determine which illness you are experiencing:

“The symptoms are very, very similar and so it is hard to know what you really have going on unless you get tested. The important thing is if you are not feeling well, make sure you stay home, get plenty of rest, and drink lots of fluids. You don’t want to share those germs. Make sure you are covering your cough and washing your hands.”

Administrator Link informs during the cold a flu season there are typically three peak periods, October, December/January, and March/April.
