Don’t Be That Easy Target, Lock Your Doors

Share

Crimes of burglary continue to occur. Monmouth Police Chief Joe Switzer reminds homeowners to lock your doors, including your vehicles, so you don’t become an easy target:

“There are people out there that, that is what they do, they sleep in the daytime and they go out at night looking for the easy targets, the unlocked cars, unlocked garage doors, and they are going in and taking whatever they can get their hands on. It is a problem that we have always had and the car owner, the homeowner, it is really important that you lock your car doors, especially if you park your cars in the street. It is really important to not leave anything of value inside your car that may look attractive to them if they are walking down the street and they see it in there, just keep that in mind.”
