As part of the “Pork Power: Partnering to Fight Hunger in Illinois” campaign, the Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA), Illinois Corn Marketing Board (ICMB), Illinois Meat Processors Association, and the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) Checkoff Program have donated 50,000 pounds of pork to nine regional food banks in 2023.

During this final donation, Steidinger Foods will deliver 6,000 lbs. of ground pork as part of our Pork Power Program, and another 600 lbs. will be added to it from our “Points for Protein” campaign with IL State’s football program. For every touchdown the Redbirds scored at home, IPPA donated 20 lbs. of ground pork to the Midwest Food Bank thru our Pork Power program. The Redbirds scored 30 touchdowns at home this year.
