Share

United FFA competed in the Section 4 Dairy foods contest this evening and did a great job coming in 2nd place! Pasha Gipson lead the team placing 5th overall in varsity, Grace Colbrese was 8th, and Michael Hare was the third score for the team total in 9th place individually. Emily Thompson also competed with the team as well. The students had to identify 10 different cheeses, determine if 10 products were natural or artificial dairy products, score and detect milk defects from 6 samples of milk, run a California Mastitis test, and take a math and written exam! The team will use their knowledge and experience gained from the evening to hone in on their skills to be that much more competitive at the state contest in Champaign next weekend! Great job team!
