Galesburg Man Arrested on Probation Violation Warrant Out of Utah

On November 29, 2023, Deputies from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office assisted by Officers from the Galesburg Police Department and the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, arrested Timothy Lucas (DOB 01/17/1968) of Galesburg, on a Probation Violation Warrant out of Utah.

Lucas was also a suspect in an ongoing investigation into stolen batteries from semi-trucks and farm machinery during harvest. Lucas was found to be in possession of semi batteries at the time of his arrest.

Lucas is currently held at the Knox County Jail, awaiting extradition to Utah.

Knox County Sheriff Jack Harlan takes crimes against our hard working farmers very seriously, and is committed to all victims of property crimes.

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
