Harlan Lawrence Davis, Jr., 69, of Roseville, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Roseville Rehab and Healthcare Center. He was born October 3, 1954 in Monmouth, the son of Harlan L. Davis and Doris Pratt. He was raised and educated in the Monmouth area.

He married Barbara Kay Abbey on December 10, 1988 in Blandinsville and she survives.

He farmed in the Monmouth area for several years and later built pallets for the lumber yard. He had also worked for a cookie/cracker factory in Burlington and a hog confinement.

Harlan was an outdoorsman and enjoyed archery, hunting, gardening and lawncare. He also liked to ride motorcycles and was a member of the Gold Wing motorcycle club. He was a member of the Roseville Christian Church. He also enjoyed singing.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years; cousin, Joyce Wright; sister-in-law, Elizabeth ElKhatib;

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jack Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Roseville Christian Church. Friends may call for one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Center Grove Cemetery, Kirkwood, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home.
