Michelle M. Nichols, age 50, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 10:56 AM on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Roseville Nursing and Rehab, Roseville, Illinois. She was born March 24, 1973 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of Jack L. and Robert M. (Davidson) Hasten. Michelle attended schools in Monmouth and was a graduated of Monmouth High School’s Class of 1991. Later she attended Western Illinois University.

She married G. Dale Nichols in Galesburg, Illinois. Michelle worked for close to twenty years at Sirloin Stockade in Galesburg. She later worked at Circle K in Monmouth until her health forced her to retire. Michelle loved sports and excelled at many in high school. Mostly, she loved spending time with her granddaughter, her family, and friends.

Michelle is survived by her mother, Roberta Hasten of Monmouth, IL, one daughter, Elisa Nichols of Monmouth, IL, one son, Jack M. Nichols of Monmouth, Illinois, and one brother, Michael R. (Heather) Hasten of Alexis, IL. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Nova Johnson. Michelle is preceded in death by her father Jack.

A memorial service for Michelle is planned for 11:00 AM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow the service at Monmouth Cemetery.
