Story by Kadin Rogers

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans boys basketball team is in the midst of a small break from action at the moment, as they prepare for the Macomb Western Holiday Tournament next week. This week the Titans snuck in two games before tournament action, unfortunately for Monmouth-Roseville both of those games would be losses. On Monday, the Titans dropped a close 53-48 loss to the Tornadoes in A-Town, then on Wednesday M-R fell to a very tough United Township team on the road. After these two matches the boys sit at an overall record of 8-4.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, Titans Head Coach Jake Sottos spoke about how the team is feeling going into a Macomb Western Holiday Tournament that will feature many of the best teams from around the area.

M-R will open up Western Holiday Tournament play in the last game on Thursday, as the Titans will play Illini West at 9:30 PM. If the Titans can get the win over Illini West they will move on to the championship bracket the next day, with a loss sending them to the consolation side of the tourney.
