Now is the time to start planning for the next Fall Semester classes at Carl Sandburg College. Coordinator of Transfer and Dual Credit, Megan Jones, shares applications of available scholarships through the Carl Sandburg College Foundation are open:

“We have about 120 different scholarships available to our students for next year. You do have to apply for those. It is one general scholarship application for the 120 scholarships. Students will go in and answer questions and the way it is setup, it limits down the number of scholarships that you are eligible for. Might be based on your GPA, might be based on the high school that you attend, or it might be based on the program that you are going in to. Then we have Promise Scholarships for our United and Monmouth-Roseville students, which is based on the years that you have been in the school district. Anything less than three years you are not going to be eligible for Promise, anything over those three years you will have a prorated amount that you are eligible for. It is a last chance scholarship, so if you receive financial aid or other scholarships, you probably won’t receive the Promise Scholarship.”

Jones also reports the FAFSA applications for the 2024-2025 academic year open December 31st.
