United Girls Basketball Storms Way to Third Place in Holiday Tournament

Share

The United Red Storm girls’ basketball team is off to a solid start to their season, as they currently sit at an 8-4 overall record after a nice showing in their very own United Holiday Tournament last week. The Red Storm girls finished in 3rd place after a 2-1 showing in pool play, then a 50-33 win over the West Central Heat in the 3rd place game. United will now play West Central for the third time this season tomorrow night in a rubber match of sorts, as the Heat took the first contest back in November to split the season series at 1-1.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, 2nd year head coach at United Chris Olson says he is expecting a big environment in Biggsville for Wednesday’s game between contenders in the Lincoln Trail Conference.

You can hear Wednesday night’s game on AM 1330/FM 95.7 WRAM, online at radiomonmouth.com or the free 1330 WRAM app for your smartphone or tablet.

After Friday’s game vs West Central, the Red Storm girls will take a break until January, as they do not participate in a Christmas basketball tournament.
