The United Red Storm girls basketball team is off to a solid start to their season as they continue play in the United Girls Basketball Holiday Tournament. The girls split games in pool play action, starting off with a 38-34 loss to (10-1) Elmwood, then taking down Payson-Seymour 47-34. Next up for the Red Storm is their final pool play game in the tournament, a match-up with Farmington on Tuesday at 7:30 in the new gym at United High School. Overall on the season, the Red Storm hold a record of 6-4 under second-year head coach Chris Olson. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, Coach Olson says the team is ready for their game tonight against the Farmers, as United looks to put themselves in the third-place game set for Thursday night.

A Red Storm win would likely put them in the third-place game on Thursday night in the new gym at United High School, while a loss to the Farmers would likely place them in the old gym for the fifth-place game at 7:30.
