In the world of spirits, bourbon sales have skyrocketed over the past few years as people try to find that unique taste, shares Market Alley Wines Owner Sarah Walters:
“The bourbon world has exploded, I would say in the last four years especially. I saw it starting to happen when I took over, six years ago. Bourbon has always been popular, but this craze has probably been in the last four years. I think it is just great marketing by the companies that are distilling these spirits. They have kind of made it hard to get and we as humans want what we can’t have. So, I think that is kind of what has helped lead to this bourbon craze.”
Meanwhile, at Market Alley Wines while supplies last, homemade ornaments are available for purchase with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Western Illinois Animal Rescue.
