Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending Dec. 17th, 2023:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is junior girls basketball player, Brianna Woodard. Brianna raised her game another level last week. In three games, she averaged a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds per contest. Brianna hauled down an amazing 20 rebounds in a game against a high-quality Camp Point Central/Southeastern ball club.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Hunter Hall. The United Red Storm claimed their Holiday Tournament championship and Hunter was a big part of it. In three wins last week, he averaged 13 points, including pouring in 18 points in a win over BPC. He was also solid from the free throw line, going 6-8 from the charity stripe for the week.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Isiah Stephson. Isiah filled the stat sheet in each of the 3 games the Heat played last week. He averaged 8 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists for the week. Isiah was also solid from the free throw line, making a total of 6 out 7 attempts.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior boys swimmer, Riley Stevenson. Riley brought home four, 1st place medals from the highly competitive, 12-school Midwest Invitational and Richwoods High School. As an individual, he won the 50 and 100 yard freestyle races and was a part of the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams. Showing his versatility, Riley won the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke events earlier in the week at Rock Island.

The Abingdon-Avon Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior boys basketball player, Asa Stegall. In two impressive wins last week, Asa averaged 15.5 points and 6 rebounds, with a game-high 21 points against Elmwood. He was efficient in doing so, shooting 64% from the field. Asa contributed on the defensive end, as well, averaging 3 steals and 2 blocks in the victories.
