The 2024 Miss Illinois County Fair Queen pageant is less than a week away and 2023 Miss Warren County Fair Queen Addisyn Switzer is hard at work preparing for the competition. Switzer says she has been working with Warren County Fair Pageant Director DeNeene Killey every day on her interview skills, pop questions, speech, and wardrobe.
“Both the county and the state pageant have similarities in the prep. I’ve been working on a lot more ag facts for the state pageant,” said Switzer, “and I would say there’s a lot of similarities with mock interviews, practicing those a lot. Doing a lot of pop questions and working on my speech.”
Voting is now open through January 13th for the People’s Choice category of the competition. Winners of this award will receive a scholarship as well as $500 donated to an organization of their choice. Votes can be cast at illinoiscountyfairs.org
Switzer will take that stage at the 2024 Miss Illinois County Fair Queen pageant on January 13th and 14th at the Crown Plaza Convention Center in Springfield.
