Carl Sandburg College Women Win OT Thriller over Highland in Arrowhead Conference Opener.

The Carl Sandburg Chargers women’s basketball team was at home last night taking on Highland in the conference opener for Sandburg. In an overtime showdown the Chargers would hold on to beat Highland 87-81. Monmouth-Roseville alum Kelci Shelton poured in 19 points as did former A-Town standout Brook Pieper. Also scoring in the Chargers win was Camille Kruse with 12 points, and Gabbie Vontz and Elly Bentley with 10 points each. Next up for the CSC women is a home match with John Wood College on Sunday.
