Monmouth Roseville Lady Titans Look to Keep Rolling After a Big Conference Win in Sherrard.

In the past week the Monmouth-Roseville Titans girls basketball teams got two Three Rivers Conference West Division games under their belt. On January 4th the Lady Titans hosted the Riverdale Rams at the Shoebox in just the second home game of the season for Monmouth-Roseville. The girls rallied late in that one but were unable to erase the late deficit, ultimately falling to Riverdale 53-46. Looking to rebound from their loss to Riverdale, the Titans were able to beat the winter weather on Monday night and get in a game at Sherrard against a very tough Lady Tigers ball team. This time Monmouth-Roseville was able to rally from a late deficit, as after trailing by 7 points after the first half, the Titans were able to put together a fantastic third quarter, ultimately holding on to a 45-39 win over Sherrard. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, Lady Titans Head Coach Scott Weber says that Monday’s win could not only be important for seeding in regionals but could potentially be a big confidence boost for the team going into the latter half of the season.

Monmouth-Roseville currently sits with a 12-9 overall record. The ladies were scheduled to get on the floor tonight against Macomb, however that game has been postponed due to the winter weather currently impacting our area. If the weather holds off tomorrow night the girls will host another TRAC-West Division opponent in the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers on Thursday.
