Senator Anderson Hosts Annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive

After great success in previous years, State Senator Neil Anderson (R-Andalusia) is once again hosting his annual “Valentines for Seniors” card drive now through February 5, 2024.

“This is an incredible program that allows constituents across the 47th District the ability to show our seniors how much they appreciate them by sending in personalized and creative cards to our district office to distribute,” said Senator Anderson. “On a day focused around love, sometimes our seniors may feel lonely or forgotten about and we hope to brighten their day through our annual card drive.”

Senator Anderson is asking students, scout groups, churches, and other groups to consider creating homemade cards that will be delivered to nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and other long-term care facilities throughout the 47th Senate District.

Cards can be dropped off from now until February 5th at Sen. Anderson’s district office at 103 N. College Ave. # 201, Aledo, IL 61231. There will be a drop box inside the office during normal business hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A small mailbox will be located outside the office for after-hour drop-offs.
