United Red Storm Girls Basketball Looking to Pick Up Wins in LTC Tournament

Share

Like many high school basketball teams in the west central Illinois area, the United Red Storm girls basketball team has had several games on their schedule postponed due to the harsh winter weather that has blown through our area in the past week. The last time the Lady Red Storm got on the court was back on Saturday, January 6th when United took down Bushnell-Prairie City 54-16 at home. United was scheduled to begin play in the Lincoln Trail Conference Tournament last week, but the LTC changed the tournament format due to poor weather conditions. Now the Red Storm will play tomorrow against Mercer County in the second game of the 5th-place bracket. Off of a long break from action, United girls coach Chris Olson discussed what the Red Storm expect out of the Golden Eagles on Wednesday.

United’s matchup with Mercer County will tip off on Wednesday from West Central Elementary School at 7:30. If the Red Storm can beat the Golden Eagles they will play in the 5th place game at 2:30 on Wednesday.
