Back in December, the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District brought back their Farm Family of the Year award. Local Resource Conservationist Shawnee Sheehan says this year, the district recognized Don Ray for his work implementing conservation in his operation.

“That is just an award that we are excited to kick back up. We haven’t done that in several years. And it just recognizes that this specific farmer and his family have been putting a lot of conservation on their ground and making conservation-minded decisions,” explained Sheehan. “I got to work with Don quite a bit this year, so I was excited and honored to award him that [award].”

Ray was recognized at the Warren County SWCD Conservation Christmas event in December.
