New Gymnasium on ICS Campus Expected to be Completed in August

The construction of a new gymnasium for Immaculate Conception School is underway and is anticipated to be complete in August, shares Principal and Athletic Director Randy Frakes:

“The gym itself will be north of our current campus, right across the street of Archer and it will be connected to our current school. The inspiration is space. Honestly we have a lot going on at our school and with the growing numbers, if you have even been to a United versus ICS game or Monmouth-Roseville versus ICS, there is no where to sit, which is a great thing for us but it is also not great in the fact that not everybody has a place to have a seat. It is just that and accommodating our practices. When we have multiple teams and they overlap, practice can go until seven or eight o’clock at night. Ideally with having that gym it adds space for hosting events, whether it is basketball, volleyball, or an event tied to the church or the school, it just gives us more flexibility and with practices it gets people home sooner.”

The total cost of the new gymnasium is $3.5 million.
