Take the Plunge and Support Local Special Olympic Athletes

Share

On Sunday, February 25th, several members of the local community will take the cold plunge into Lake Storey in Galesburg to support Special Olympics Illinois Region F, shares Assistant Director Jennifer Davis:

“We have several local great teams that have already signed up and are fundraising on social media and going around to local businesses for their support. Local participants need to raise a minimum of $100 to jump in the cold water at Lake Storey, but it is a great thing to check off your bucket list. The polar plunges are our biggest fundraiser in our region and ensure that our programming remains free for our local athletes.”

The second plunge supporting Region F will be held at Bally’s Casino in Rock Island on Sunday, March 3rd. For more details on registering or donating, visit plungeillinois.com.
