Beginning March 1st, Warren County Public Transportation will 100 percent be operated by the Warren County Board. With current hours of operation on weekdays from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Director of Transportation Morgan Lewis is hoping to expand not only hours in the future, but trips to Galesburg:

“Hopefully we will be expanding some services. We are looking at adding a couple more loops to Galesburg. Historically, we have always done one in the morning between 8:30 and 9:00 and then we would return to Galesburg at 1:30 to 2:00 and bring people home. Now we are looking to add two rounds in the morning and hopefully two rounds in the afternoon. You would still need to call and make an appointment, but I have also been working with Galesburg and we are hoping that if you wanted to, you could get into their buss system once we bring you over there. It would get you to multiple places in Galesburg if you don’t have another way of transportation to get there.”

Lewis also informs that within two years, Warren County Public Transportation will be receiving eight brand new fourteen passenger busses.
