Punxsutawney Phil Predicts Early Spring

Share

Punxsutawney [[ PUNK-suh-tawny ]] Phil is telling us all about the weather today. The Pennsylvania tradition sees the famous groundhog predicting whether we’ll have an early spring or six more weeks of cold and snow. He emerged from his tree stump this morning in Gobbler’s Knob and failed to see his shadow. As the folklore goes, that means an early spring awaits us. Seeing his shadow would have meant more cold weather in the forecast for weeks to come.
