Mary L. Morlan, 92 of Galesburg, died at 11:40 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

She was born November 25, 1931, in Gilson, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Clara (Kellar) Swank. She was married to Roy J. Morlan on October 9, 1948.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Ronk and Janet Grover; twenty grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; parents, Charles, and Clara; daughters, Cheryl Swanson, and Belle Glass; one son, Jerry Morlan; her brothers Charles “Happy” Swank, Russell Swank, Bill Swank, and Theodore Swank; and her sisters, Margie Colwell, Evelyn Wurzenburger, Betty Dairy and Aurora Rigg.

Mary Worked and retired from the Galesburg Research Hospital for over 20 years before retiring in 1992. In her free time, she loved to collect porcelain dolls and crocheting. She also loved to go around to the local thrift stores and shop.

Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday, April 1, 2024, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services of Galesburg. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Online condolences may be left for the family on the funeral home’s website at www.h-p-w.com.
