This week is set to be a busy week for Monmouth College Fighting Scots athletics, as numerous athletes will take a trip east to compete in events across the country. Two fighting Scots throwers will wrap up their track and field season this weekend in Virginia Beach on the campus of Norfolk State University, as juniors Caleb Toberman and Shane Anderson qualified for the NCAA Division III Nationals in the weight throw. Anderson has been designated the 8th seed, while Toberman comes in at the 13 seed out of 20 competitors.
Also heading out east this week is the Monmouth College baseball team, as they compete in their annual spring training series in Fort Pierce, Florida. Monmouth started their season over the weekend by splitting a series against Blackburn College. The Scots take off for Florida this Thursday, and begin play with a doubleheader against Minnesota-Northwestern on Saturday.
