Monmouth College Baseball Returns Home After Successful Spring Break Trip

The Monmouth College Fighting Scots baseball team is back from an extended trip in the Sunshine State. On March 9th the Scots officially began their Florida Coast Spring Training series down in Fort Pierce, Florida. Monmouth would end up playing a total of 9 games, finishing with an overall record of 5-4. The Scots started by splitting a doubleheader against the University of Minnesota-Northwestern, then followed that up with another split doubleheader against Franciscan University on the 10th. After a 15-3 win over Washington College of Maryland on the 12th, Monmouth split yet another doubleheader with Kenyon College, before wrapping up the week in Florida with a 5-4 win over Lasell University then a loss to Gettysburg College to close out the week of spring baseball for the Scots. Monmouth College Sports Information Director Nathan Baliva made the trip to Fort Pierce with the baseball squad. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, Baliva discussed the Scots successful week of baseball for Monmouth.
