Search Warrant Results in Meth Arrest

In a collaborative effort between the Macomb Police Department and the West Central Illinois Task Force, a search warrant was executed on March 12th, 2024, at 440 N. Campbell St., in Macomb, IL. The joint investigation was based on the distribution of methamphetamine in Macomb/McDonough County area.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Eason Bishop (age 38 of Macomb). Bishop was charged with Methamphetamine Delivery over 400 grams, a class X felony. He was detained at the McDonough County Jail awaiting a detention hearing. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated.

The West Central Illinois Task force and the Macomb Police Department were assisted by the McDonough County Sheriff’s Office and the McDonough County State’s Attorney’s Office.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
