Several Monmouth Area Junior High Wrestlers Bring Home Hardware from IESA State Finals

In junior high wrestling this weekend at the state finals in Dekalb, Monmouth-Roseville’s Landon Peterson placed 6th overall in the Class A 105 lb weight class. Colt Roeder of Mercer County took 2nd in 70 pound weight class. Nate Lower of Rockridge took 2nd in the 90 pound division. Quinn Zimmerman of Sherrard was also 2nd at 126 pounds. Another Mercer County wrestler, Elijah Boswell, was 2nd at 155 and James Long of Knoxville was a runnerup as well at 185 pounds. United’s Van Olcott also participated this weekend in the 215 pound weight class after placing 3rd in the sectional meet.
