The Warren County YMCA Waterbugs swim team brought home a ton of hardware from their to the 2024 Illinois YMCA State Swimming Championship, located at the Lake Central Aquatic Center in Saint John, Indiana. In total, 20 Waterbug swimmers qualified for the state swimming championship, with the team securing multiple championships in several events. Championship winners for the Waterbugs included the boys 12 and under swim team, the boys 8 and under swim team, the girls 8 and under swim team, and the girls 21 and under swim team.
After a very successful showing at the state championship, Warren County YMCA Waterbugs swim coach Ashlynn Quinn says the entire team and coaching staff is incredibly excited about the fantastic finish to the 2024 Waterbugs season.
