Brenda S. Robinson, age 74, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 8:45 PM on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Roseville Nursing and Rehab Center in Roseville, Illinois. She was born April 26, 1949 in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of Charles “Earl” and Pauline (Applegate) Heaton. Brenda was raised and educated in Vermont, Illinois, graduating from V.I.T. with the Class of 1968. On February 15, 1969, she married Lloyd L. Robinson, Jr. at the First Baptist Church in Macomb, Illinois.

Brenda babysat children in her own home for many years. She later worked at County Market and did housekeeping at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, all in Monmouth, Illinois. Brenda is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monmouth enjoyed spending time with the Church groups United Methodist Women and Church Women United, playing slots, and playing cards with her girlfriends. Mostly, she loved her grandkids, great-grandkids, family, and her many friends.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Lloyd Robinson of Monmouth, IL, one daughter, Jennifer (Chance Hunter) Hammitt of Smithshire, IL, three grandsons; DJ (Alycia) Hammitt of Smithshire, IL, Darrian Hammitt of Burlington, IA, and Douglas Hammitt of Little York, IL, three great-grandkids; Lucas, Everleigh, and Bryson, and one great-grandpuppy, Koda. Also surviving are her siblings, LaRita (Robert) Maloney of Bushnell, IL, Pat Yost of Havana, IL, Eldon Heaton of Canton, IL, and Ron Heaton of Havana, IL, her in-laws, Larry (Pam) Robinson of Macomb, IL, Brenda Robinson of Industry, IL, and Tom Robinson. Brenda also is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, Lloyd and Edith Robinson, and three brothers-in-laws, Steve Yost, John Robinson, and Steve Robinson. 

As were Brenda’s wishes, cremation is being accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Monmouth, Illinois on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 PM.  Memorials may be left to the American Cancer Society. Memorials may be left to the American Cancer Society. For more information, or to leave a remembrance, please visit www.turnbullfuneralhomes.com.
