Story by Kadin Rogers
Despite weather issues, the Monmouth-Roseville Titans baseball team has managed to play two games in the past week. After some rescheduling and cancellations in the early part of the week, Monmouth-Roseville took a tough shutout loss to a solid Riverdale team 4-0 on Thursday, before rebounding with a tight 7-6 win over the Mercer County Golden Eagles on Friday. After their recent string of action the Titans now sit with a record of 3-4 overall on the season.
As Monmouth-Roseville is now about a quarter of the way through the 2024 spring season, Titans head coach Jordan Ball says the team has the pieces to make a deep postseason run, they will just need to put them together in the last 3 quarters of the season.
Monmouth-Roseville is currently scheduled to pick up two games today and tomorrow against Bushnell-Prairie City and Galesburg, however both of those games are in jeopardy due to more cold weather, rain, and snow impacting our listening area.
