Monmouth-Roseville Softball Patiently Playing Waiting Game with Mother Nature

Story by Kadin Rogers

Like many high school baseball and softball teams around the area, the Monmouth-Roseville Titans softball team has gotten in a limited number of games due to a very cold and rainy start to the early spring 2024 season. Monmouth-Roseville was able to squeeze one game in last Wednesday, a home varsity contest against the United Red Storm, a game where the Titans would take a hard-fought 5-3 loss to the Red Storm.

With all the cancellations and postponements impacting the Titans schedule, M-R is now set up to play a very busy schedule in the upcoming weeks if the weather holds up. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Thursday, Titans softball coach Jarrod Hippen discussed his team’s compacted schedule for the upcoming week.

The Titans are currently scheduled to pick up games today, Friday, and Saturday against ROWVA/Williamsfield, Southeastern, and Riverdale.
