Over 400 Animals in 2023 Rescued by Freedom Ride Team

Providing free transportation from shelters and breeder releases to no-kill rescues, Freedom Ride Animal Rescue, a non-profit foster-based animal transport rescue organization, is committed to helping as many animals as possible. Founded in 2022, Phil Cooper shares statistics from just the last year:

“Our activities from 2023, we ended up saving well over 400 animals. In 2023, as a rescue we drove right at 14,000 miles saving animals all around the Midwest. That is just a number that I am shocked at, but am very proud of. We micro-chipped 648 animals, donated food, and a lot of other things that we don’t necessarily give a lot of attention too, but, you know, again it is just all about taking care of the animals in need out there.”

On Saturday, June 22nd, Freedom Ride Animal Rescue will host their 1st Annual 5K Fun Run and 1 Mile Walk and Wag, beginning at the First Christian Church in Monmouth. Registration can be done online at runsignup.com and searching for “Freedom Ride.”
