Henderson County 4-H Hosts BBQ Fundraising Event

Share

With school out and June upon us, 4-H members are hard at work preparing for competitions, fairs, and fundraising events. Shelby Carlson, a University of Illinois Youth Development Educator, says the Henderson County 4-H is hosting a fundraising BBQ Saturday, June 1, at the Henderson County Fairgrounds from 4-7pm.

“If you haven’t gotten tickets from one of your favorite Henderson County 4-H members, we’re absolutely happy to take you at the door,” says Carlson. ” Those are available for a free-will donation. All those proceeds go to the Henderson County 4-H Foundation, which just continues to support our program, and things like providing college scholarships to our members, and providing event scholarships.”

Each meal includes a choice of pork chop or chicken sandwich with potato salad or chips with coleslaw, applesauce, dessert, and drink.
